Thing Are Not The Way They Seem

I've sat sneering at my fireplace and pacing since Michael left - two days ago.

I don't want to believe him, but he is telling the truth I am sure. I liked Christian as a friend and a lover damn it. Now... damn him! I stand up and call for a feeding. Miguel brings me a young girl and I devour every bit of her blood in a fury barely tasting her innocence. Miguel begins to question why I did not savor like I normally do with the young but with a sharp look he picks up her body and leaves.

Lying on my bed I make a decision. I've few true friend outside my coven, none in fact. I'd like to keep Christian as a friend - if only for the... chess. After a change of clothes I take flight to Gaspard's den. I land and speak with Jack for a moment then head down to Christian's room. I feel my anger rising even against my better judgment or wishes as I near his door.

I knock louder than necessary, "Christian! A word!"
