I sit on the bed out on the terrace as I wait for Gaspard to join me. I am curious as to what business this Detective and that angel have with him, but I trust if I must know Gaspard will tell me.
After I have dealt with Michael and delivered my message to the rest of them I fly back to my house. My home for so long which it can no longer be. Now I have to deal with Paul.
My anger tells me he had to have known about this. How could he not. He is still part Angel. That fact still boils my blood. He would know!
I drop down in form and sit perched on the railing listening to the waves behind me. My heart tells me that what that Angel said can not be true, surely, it can't. How could I have not seen it. But then I didn't see Michael's scheming either. My heart stirs my brain trying to convince me that I would have seen it in his blood if he knew but then my mind counters with the fact he is Angel. Could he have concealed it from me? Possibly
( ... )
It's been some time since he left so I have taken a shower, changed into the flowing robe he loves on me and waited in our bed. I want to lavish him with love when he returns. The thought of him killing, the look in his eyes, the power.... I want him so much!
When I hear him holler for me, I sense anger. He is still so worked up. I run to him. The wind from the over the water blowing my hair back and my satin blue robe swirling around my feet.
But when I see his eyes, I stop and feel my heart ache. This anger - it is ... for me. Taking a tentative step toward him I ask, "Gaspard, my love... what is wrong?"
My heart aches when he comes out. He looks so beautiful. I could almost believe that our love is real. But then when I look at him I am reminded of Michael and my rage simmmers once again.
He doesn't come straight to me he stops taking a small step then stopping once again.
Gaspard, my love... what is wrong?
I stalk over and circle him keeping my eyes on his, watching him closely, then stop just behind him and sneer. "Can't you smell his blood on me?!"
I breath in deeply and I do smell blood but I can not identify it. It is neither the detective or angels. It has the heady aroma of an angel but much much stronger.
I watch him circle me and I am almost afraid of him. I shake my head softly, "Gaspard... I - I do not recognize the smell."
Reaching out for him I gently take hold of his arm, "My love why are you so angered with me? What have I done?"
My heart aching at the thought of having disappointed him. I have never questioned our love - his love for me. We have had disagreements, but this... to lose his love - I would rather die.
I lead him inside and tell him to get dressed that we are leaving this place and most likely won't be coming back. I don't explain why. We don't have time. But he doesn't question me. I get what I need from the safe and that is all. The nest is already set for exactly this eventuality. We have everything we have here, there, plus a lot more that would have definitely aroused suspicions
( ... )
I watch with fascination as he fills the mouths of his friends. I feel full of pride that he is sharing this with me. My love for him continues to grow even though I did not think it possible to love him anymore.
As he reaches for me I wrap an arm around his waist and help him to the chambers across the hall. He needs to feed to regain some of his strength. Pushing open the door my main attention is getting Gaspard to the large bed, but the lavish surrounding do not escape my notice.
Once he is leaning back against the large headboard I climb onto the bed and straddle him. Brushing my hair back I place my hands on his broad shoulders, "You need to feed properly my love. Please take from me."
I look up at him and am overcome with a feeling of immense pride and love. He has not questioned me at all in anything I have done and he has yet to learn what has happened but it doesn't seem to matter to him. He trusts me implicitly regardless.
I reach up and stroke my fingers over his cheek. His skin doesn't feel cool to the touch like it should. He always feels warm and so soft. "I cannot keep feeding on you Paul." I brush the tips of my fingers down his neck then back up again to grasp his chin. "This will be the last time it can happen my love." I tug on his chin gently and he leans in as I push up off the pillows behind me. "We are at war."
I take his mouth kissing him, letting my eyes fall closed, soaking up first the warmth of his lips on mine then it's his slick wet tongue and plump lips I am tasting as he kisses me back passionately.
Then I am pulling back and using the grip I still have on his chin I turn his face to the side. I take a moment to savour his sweet smell before sinking my fangs into him once
I gasp in pleasure and grip his shoulders tight. I will savor every second if this is to be the last time. I understand it is for my protection and my heart swells at that thought.
My hips press to his as my breathing quickens. "Yes, yes my love..."
We are at war - I am not at surprised. He has killed some one in the order I assume. But they were only using him, just as Michael had so long ago. Gaspard is better than them all. He should not answer to anyone!
I feel his hands on my back, hips and ass. He is feeding slowly yet hungrily. The sensations running through my body cause me to whimper and writhe. When I feel his tongue lapping at the wound I hang my head and lean into him, "I love you - forever I am yours."
I don't waste any time when I leave the nest I head straight for Gabriel's. I'm not about to go walking in the front door so I land in the tower. I'm almost immediately met with the one they call Christian. "I am not here to fight. I am here to see Gabriel."
No sooner have I said that he is taking form and lunging for me. I sidestep his attack and grab a hold of him then throw him off the side of the tower.
I sigh at the vampires ease against Christian. Nicholas and Bart make a move but I hold up my hand, "He is too powerful for Christian, you two are no match."
Taking flight I land just behind him, "State your business stranger.Gabriel is aware of your presence. Tell us what you want."
I tilt my head back listening to him speak before turning to face him. This one is stronger than the Ulfheonar and higher up the food chain. I can sense it.
I keep my senses on the other wolves and Christian when he flies back up and lands in the tower. I can sense the animosity coming from them. "My business is for Gabriel's ears." I smile at the one who addressed me. "Tell him I have brought him a gift he will be most interested in." I
I sense something I've not felt in a very long time. Stories of old.... I instruct Andrei to give me a mental image of this vampire. My eyes widen when he does. Well well, so he was no legend.
Bring him to my quarters, but I want everyone close and on guard. Contact Lord Kenta as well. Tell him to come at once.
I transform and wait by the large fireplace for Gaspard's arrival.
I sit forward and glare hard at him, "You dare declare war without a word to those you expect to fight for you!?"
Standing I move around my chair and stand next to Nicholas, "I do not fear or have any distaste of war, but I demand to know the catalyst! The last war you provoked was over love. Hundreds of years later you still burn for what Michael did to you?"
I put my cigarette out on the arm of the chair then drop the butt onto the floor. "I do what I want because I can Gabriel." I look to Kenta. "He obviously hasn't heeded your stories." Then I cut my eyes back to Gabriel. "I did not provoke the last war. I ended it. Because I could. The reason does not matter."
I stand. "And now I can start a new war, because I want to. I do not need to ask permission. I don't expect you to fight for me. I am asking you to. Or have you forgotten who you are Gabriel. Why is it you sit here under their thumb? Why do you tolerate their rule? Your distrust of me can not be the only reason you are fighting me on this surely as you have done nothing over the last few hundred years to further your own kind. What is your excuse?"
I chuckle. "Don't you want revenge on that little blue eyed devil. Or do you still hold a torch for him as well?"
I laugh, "Elijah? Oh my friend, no. Yes we did try to stop the trinity - and yes we failed - but to want revenge on him directly?" I look at Nicholas, "Well perhaps Christian."
He scowls at me and I can not help but smile. "Perhaps I have gotten complacent in our place, with their rules over the years. I do remember what it was like before."
I look at Kenta and he does believes Gaspard can do as he says. But trust is missing understandably.
"Why should we help you Lord Gaspard? You proved trusting you to be a deadly mistake in the past. What assurance do we have you are not still working for the order? Yes you have Michael's heart - part of it - but I would not put it past even the angels to sacrifice him for their better good."
This makes me laugh and I do. "Come come Gabriel. An Archangel! You really think they would have a say in sacrificing him. No one in history has ever managed to kill an Archangel. Even the big guy wouldn't do that. Why do you think Lucifer sits on his fiery throne? Because the Lord God took pity on him even in his anger and threw him down instead of doing what he should have done and torn out his traiterous heart!"
I look at him in disdain. "I took you to be more intelligent than that." I put my hand out and draw what is left of Michael's heart back into my grasp then hold it up in front of him. "As you can see I am not as merciful. I will have my war. I will win. You can either be there at the top or make your choice now and choose to be at the bottom. There are others who are not as morally judging as you. And I already do not fight alone. My death dealers are waking as we speak. For you see I plan for the future. You can trust in that."
