Fuck Tony Hawk in his Ancient Shriveled Ass

Jul 03, 2003 03:06

Those of you who have the pleasure of my company on a day-to-day basis know of my boundless loathing of all things XTREME. It seems that everything from snackfoods to tampons needs to be huckstered up my ass from the back of a skateboard. The kids like the skateboards, boy howdy ( Read more... )

all brands of entertainment are overall very very repetative.

all my hobbies have the same basic premises, a many a common theme. i believe all anime could be broken down to no more than 15 common plots and probably 20 common characters (with slight differences)

sk8 b04RDlNg X+r3m3 is just a common theme of today's american society... and i don't think if you are going to watch TV targets at teens you should complain that you are being targeted as one.

Oh, I'm not really complaining that I am being targeted along with a demographic into which I do not fit; I'm just expressing my utter dismay that peanut-butter in tubes even exists.

Sure anime is repetitive. So is the sex act, as well as slamming one's head against a wall for an hour. Of course, a discussion of what's *worth* repeating is entirely subjective. Unless of course your opinions, like my own, are ablative absolutes. Then it's perfectly fine to say how much you want to crap in Tony Hawk's mouth.

I don't hate the X+r3m3 sk8 b04RDlNg culture as a whole. I mean, Tom Green sort of counts, right? I want to marry him.

Well now that they can advertise booze on TV I'm looking forward to things like Extreme Jack Daniels. You could have an commercial showing all the worst, nut busting, bone breaking, coma inducing wipe outs in extreme sports with the catch phrase "If you're stupid enough to do this, why feel it. Jack Daniels, the official drink of Extreme Sports."

Hmm....Extreme Jack Daniels..That would bring extreme versions of all alcohols, wouldnt it. Booze in small tubes? This could be mighty entertaining ;)

The booze store near my work sells booze in small tubes. They are labled "shooters", but they are indeed booze in small tubes. They are not extreme enough, however, as they don't have Tony Hawk's picture whored all over them...

Haha, Shamus. Just do what I do and don't watch tv. It puts you in an odd, disconnected, middle ages/renaissance kinda fog, and when you finally discover that peanut butter in a tube exists, you'll exclaim something along the lines of "Huzzah! What witchery be this!?"
