Apparently, this is what some homosexual rights groups consider progress. I cannot for the life of me understand this kind of MASSIVE RETARDATION

Moving to michigan to get away from my family, though highly reluctant because I'm leaving behind a really great guy; promised him I'd move back when he moved out of his parents house so we could live together, and he said that's what he'd like more than anything.
Amazingly, we agree Shamus. High schools that shelter "victims" of "intolerance"? Ok, what's next- high schools for kids with acne and glasses? Fat high schools?
It's enough that "charter" and "magnet" schools have started to seperate kids from traditional high schools and "nurture" their intelligence and creatity. Segreating, and that's what it IS, SEGREGATION, whether voluntary or otherwise, is inane and counter-productive.
If we allow people to feel like victims- or, worse, subtely tell them that they are- they will never desire to NOT be a victim, because being a victim allows them things that other people are forbidden.
I've been to both charter and magnet schools and I don't really see how they're segregating people, on the Cape Cod charter school the kids who got in were picked on random and it helped ease the dreadful over crouding at main public high school, and we worked at a slightly higher level than the main public school. Not that I really did any work. And at the magnet school I attnded it was a regular public school aside from that it had a better art/music/drama/dance/horticulture programs the kids who were in these programs still had to do the same amount of regular classes as the rest of the student body. It was a good program I feel for the people who were in it. I think that schools that don't have as extencive programs in the arts are at a loss. I think Voke high schools are a joke where acidemic classes are secondary to the trade classes.
It will just make one nice neat target for stupid people who want to harrass them.
Schools should just do more to, oh, I don't know...punish people? And that goes for everything. I had an ex-boyfriend leave a cup of URINE, among other things, including signed letters, on my car during this past school year. He was sent to the school shrink and told to stay away from me. No actual punishment. And I've seen two lesbian girls at my school get picked on like crazy and nothing's ever done. And I've seen people caught stealing from the *SCHOOL* and not given more than a slap on the wrist. Stupid schools need more discipline.
Ok, sue me. I was using a free internet computer at the Cape, and therefore wasnt really thinking...
"Homosexuality is a valid and acceptable facet to some people's personalities that they did not "choose" any more than I "chose" to love the delicious taste of boobies. "
This was the part I was talking about. Although overall the entire point is awesome. Wow, someone make a point on lj. What a concept.
Could you help me figure out how to join a community (Pallas Athena v2 - it is a Bowie community) your smart and stuff.
I want to go to special GAY highschool. It would be wicked funny. I mean, really. Funny. I could try to dominate them and make them into my SPECIAL MINIONS. And force the fruity boys to wear skirts, it would be a great place for my to launch my attack against pants from.
