"Gasping for Air, Grasping for Sanity" or "Phlegm & Fever; Forays into the Unconscious"

This week end was rough. I was sick with phlegm and fever. I want to impress upon y'all the significance of this. The last time I got sick with a cold was in 1992. I have not had a cold in 16 years!

During my fevered nights I had many recurring obsessive dreams that would carry on for hours upon hours.

9/13/2008 Saturday night I had an ( Read more... )

Double whoa! I'm suffering from yet another cold right now - the third since summer started. It's not terrible; they come, they annoy me, and they go. It's kind of a bummer, though, that your amazing 16-year streak has come to an end. Now you'll have to start over.

Jimi,

I am glad you are feeling better. Ans yes your dreams suggest you were
definitely not in a good way. Although whenever I get sick I tend to
get gooned on Nyquil, so my dreams are usually non-memorable.

16 years since you were last sick. That is a pretty good run. Geez
that means you have never been sick since April was born. Since the
current Bush administration took office, also since the Clinton
Administration took office. I was skinny when you were last sick. In
1992 Gas was cheap. The country was not at war. The Olympics were in
France. Johnny Carson retired and Jay Leno took over. Toronto won the
world series, Washington won the super bowl, Mike Tyson and John Gotti
went to jail, George H.W. puked in Japan, The Term "Quayleism" is
coined after the Murphy Brown speech. L.A. almost burns to the ground
because of riots.

Anyway, enough of that. I am glad you are feeling better, and hope its
another 16 years before you get another cold...

Talk to you later...

-Danny

A. Abbey Hoffman (born/published 1936, re-incarnated/republished 1989)

B. Naked Lunch (published 1959)

C. Abattoir (obvious reference to vonnegut’s slaughterhouse 5 published 1969)

The question was obviously which is the funniest? and the answer is C.

Glad to hear you’re feeling better. chrissy
