I am going to do the Buddhist precepts ceremony

I've decided after 11 years of formal zen practice to take the Buddhist refuges or "the precepts". In the tradition I practice we have no ordination, there are no priests, no monks, and no hierarchy. The Diamond sangha has been criticized as being Anarchistic. The criticism is completely accurate, we are anarchistic and that's the way I like it

This is what happens to all religions, unfortunately. While I definitely think that religion should have a public face, that doesn't mean that only the public face counts.
