MEGACANO: One day remaining

Sep 06, 2009 02:48

That's right. MEGACANO is due in at 5:00pm tomorrow. Mondays truly are dire things. I'm in pretty good shape though - didn't get as much done today as I would've liked, thanks to a couple of hours wasted due to irritating shenanigans involving libraries (the computer code kind, not the full-of-books kind). Fortunately, the stuff I have left on my ( Read more... )

I'm playing EVE with my brother right now. He has a long-running account, I have a free trial. We're running frigates in lowsec, trying to find somebody to gank.

Kinda cool.

He took out a Rifter in a duel (which was apparently so intense that he was unable to press the voice chat button and ask me to warp in), and then we both ganked a Typhoon cruiser as it was fighting some NPCs. We tried to ransom him but the guy was an idiot and got himself blown up.

Haha. Sounds awesome.

The Freelancer was a no-go. The multiplayer refuses to work with Vista, and out of the group that we had keen to rock it, only I was able to get it running, due to the awesomeness that is Windows 7.

I dearly wish I had more time to game, so I could play EVE. And more time to write. And sleep. And everything.

Our course is pretty damn hectic, and evil - we have an exam on Wednesday, which the majority of my class are going to have great difficulty attending, due to Auckland's buses shutting down for the day, from strikes.
That, and they tried to actually teach us something today - Linear Transformations - but everyone just kinda ignored it and crunched on their games. Priorities are important.

I believe we have Freespace(2) to use for backup also. If anyone happens to have interesting Freelancer mods/fixes they'd like to point out, we'd be appreciative.

Also, I really dislike yes or no marking schemes. Nothing's worse than someone just going "Full marks? Hmmm. No, they didn't do that well. No marks."
