I don't mind the allocated seating, but the places I've been to that have it let you choose your seats. This is particularly useful when booking tickets online, if you get in early you can get the best seats.
However, if I was to show up and be TOLD where to sit I'd certainly be complaining.

Yeah, they have allocated seating at some of the nicer theaters in L.A. but it is considered a luxury because you choose your seats (like if you order the tickets on-line ahead of time) so you will ensure you have a good seat and that you don't have to show up way ahead of time.

How odd. I've not heard of that happening there before.

I'm so glad we don't really do movies. I get too fidgety & J needs to go out for smokes all the time so it's just an expensive trip out to be uncomfortable.

I don't mind the allocated seating for online bookings. If I'm paying the money online for tickets I'd better damn well have a seat for the movie once I get there. The only tickets I ever book online though are Gold Class. I wasn't aware that they had gone to allocated seating for all seats.

Please, do take the time to complain. If you don't then they're never going to know you're not happy with it.
