using my 'phone a friend' option... looking for a few good lines!

Trying to find good (bad!) diction lines in songs and poetry-

Two examples I can think off the top of my head:

- Weep oh mine eyes and cease not (see snot)
- There dwells up high a stone troll (a pious stone troll)

what are some others?

I'm using these in my advanced 'performance techniques' class this weekend :)

Thanks!!!

Are you trying to stick to period sources? If not, there's a whole archive of them at http://www.kissthisguy.com/. Some of the more ubiquitous highlights:

- Excuse me while I kiss the sky (kiss this guy)
- There's a bad moon on the rise (there's a bathroom on the right)
- That's me in the corner (let's pee in the corner)
- What's the matter with the clothes I'm wearing? Can't you tell that your tie's too wide? (tie's too white)

Also, Dave Barry's "Book of Bad Songs" has a chapter "Songs People Get Wrong".

Well, since she put me down, there's been owls pukin' in my bed."

Any phrase with a word ending in _t_ or _d_ before the word "you": need chew (need you), want chew (want you), etc.

Those used to drive me absolutely monkey-poop when I was a choir director.
