After posting yesterday about “Isabella and the Pot of Basil”, I was inspired to search more artists who paid attention to food, cooking, farming, and fresh produce.

Those paintings looked really familar (in terms of style). My local art musem has some copies for his work on display. But there is a much larger painting of a full dining table with game birds as well as produce that is very much done in a similar style (perhaps done by a comtemporary) that I couldn't put my finger on to provide a link. His work is very striking, visceral.
