Sick Sick Sick
Here is chapter three of mine and Meg's story. It has a few cuss words in it so this is my warning.
“GO GO GO GO GO You son of a…….”
“MIKE!” Loren screamed at her overzealous boyfriend. “I can’t believe how you are acting, its just a baseball game. Loren rolled her eyes and sighed dramatically. Meg and Joe, who had been sitting on the couch opposite Loren and Mike, looked at each other and grimaced.
“Loren baby it’s the Soxs, do you know how long we have waited for a world series? And by the way do I scream and holler when you fricking Red Wings play? No! I sit there and SHUT MY MOUTH.” Mike emphasized the SHUT MY MOUTH part with a lingering look towards Loren.
“Oh I see how it is, a DAMN baseball game is more important than me.” Loren jumped up from the couch and began to “clean” the kitchen.
Joe leaned in towards Meg and whispered, “Houston we have a problem. How about we go for a walk and let these two cool things down a bit?
“But…but…the Red Sox are winning…..oh okay.” Meg reluctantly let Joe help her up from the couch with an offered hand. She followed him down the stairs and out the front door of the building. Meg looked around and tried to figure out where they were heading.
Joe laughed at Meg’s curiosity, “We are going to the little park thing over there.” Joe pointed to a lake with a couple of benches around it that the University had set up for recreation.
“How nice,” Meg said, “I have never noticed that there before.”
Joe smiled, “Mike told me about it, he said that there are ducks here sometimes and Loren loves to feed them. That is until they realize she is the one with the food and they start attacking her.”
Meg had to stop walking she was laughing so hard at the image of ducks attacking Loren.
“That is definitely something I would love to see,” Meg told Joe.
By the time they got to the park Meg was feeling very comfortable with Joe. He made her feel goofy and silly, almost like a kid. She even let him push her in the tire swing. When Joe stopped the swing he kissed Meg, holding her head with the palm of his hand. Meg was having very un-kid like thoughts now. Meg kissed Joe back and leaned into his arm for support.
“Mmmmmmmm” was all Meg could manage.
Joe broke the kiss and looked down at Meg, “I don’t want to complicate your life, I know that you probably think that’s all a boyfriend will do right now. And Loren and Mike aren’t doing a very good job of proving you wrong, so let me prove you wrong. Let me be your boyfriend and show you how much easier I can make you life.”
Meg answered with another kiss.
When they got back to her dorm room, walking hand in hand, Mike was gone. Meg heard sniffling coming from Lorena’s bedroom.
“What’s wrong Lana,” Meg asked wondering what had upset her so.
“Michael and I broke up. Its over.” Loren ran to Meg and pulled her into a tight hug.
Meggers had a great idea for the next chapter so we will have to see how it plays out.
Man I feel like crap today. My throat is KILLING me and my nose is so stuffed I cant breath. Question for Kellie (dutchtulips) have you seen A Knights Tale? If you could do my mood for that movie I would teh appreciate it. If you cant do that one then how about Pearl Harbor. If you cant do any of those just let me know.
