I wish I could hire a professional editor to sort out my Nano novel. I've read half of it, and I'm too scared to write any more because I need to change the entire ending. Its a total rip off of the film Clue. And Murder By Death. And every Agatha Christie novel ever written. And the Unicorn and the Wasp. But of course I can't hire an editor

Honestly you don't need to hire an editor. The vast majority of pro authors don't ever hire editors. Of course they work with one at their publishing houses, but they still probably got picked up in the first place with work that they edited themselves.

Still, editing sucks, so I do sympathise. I am so slow in getting around to it - and I'm bad at restructuring (line by line stuff is less bad). Good luck :)

The plot structure itself isn't so bad. I'm just going to have to do a major overhaul of the last 30,000 words or so. Thanks!
