I've always generally liked Ren Faires, but I'm not looking forward to this one as much as I usually do. I think it is making me miss the general cast of characters who usually accompanies me to such events. I completely understand what you mean! I'm trying to convince a friend to go to a renfest that is about 2.5 hrs away, but it won't be the same... not at all.
