A beautiful mistake Or productivity sinkhole
So I installed a new video game yesterday evening. Oblivion. Out of probation
So today I am officially done with m 3 month probationary period at the new job. Technically the 3 months ended July 16th, but they don't consider it over until you've had your performance review at the end of that time ( Read more... ) -
gardening
So I finally got to the garden in back of my house. It isn't completely cleaned, but I no longer feel like i need to take a machete with me anytime I'm going to try to go out the back gate (taking the garbage out, biking anywhere, etc). Kitteh update
So robin went into surgery earlier. Seems she had some thread wrapped around her tongue, bunched into her stomach, and tangled in her intestines. They got it out without any difficulty, and only had to make one incision. She is being housed at the vet for tonight and tomorrow. We received an update right before the vet closed. Robin in surgery
So the IV and anti-nausea medicine didn't help, she is still vomitting. They decided that the barium probably wouldn't stay down anyway, so the are going to go directly to surgery, don't pass go, don't collect 200$. The worry is that she swallowed some string or something and it could be tangled inside her and might damage/kill parts of her ( Read more... ) -
Sick Kitty
So Al's cat Robin started throwing up last Monday night, sometime in the middle of the night. She hasn't stopped since and has become lethargic. Since she is normally hyperactivity in a small feline package, we are taking her into the vets this morning. Hopefully, she is just mildly sick and will get better soon ( Read more... ) -
It has begun
My skin has started peeling from the sunburn I received last weekend. I scratched my shoulder just now and came away with what looked and felt like a large leathery snake scale. Made me think about rolling out of bed in a few days, looking back, and seeing an empty skin shell where I had been. What the hell is wrong with my brain that I come up ( Read more... ) -

I just went from a low-key day of documentation on the day before a holiday to "This isn't your fault, this isn't your area of responsibility, but you need to figure this out and here is a list of related tasks that need to be accomplished ASAP. Oh, and by the by, people may lose their jobs if we can't figure this out soon." Joy. -
The weekend
I feel it is important to note that despite my whinging about the sunburn i have acquired, that I had a fantastic weekend.
