I agree with you, after a long ass flight the last thing you want to do is go door to door with a baby and a toddler. Not to mention you will be super tired and jetlagged and i'm sure the boys will be cranky from the trip as well. I think they are being inconsiderate, I am sure they are excited to see the kids but they could give you some time to rest. And sleeping in the car doesn't count as rest.

sorry to sound harsh but he has his own agenda here and not really thinking of his wife, so yes. ass IS the right word.
