I've just made all previous LJ posts private. I may consider bringing some of them back at some point, or I may just bow out of blogging. I have removed my MySpace blogs and profile altogether. I continue to have my semipro blog on my employer's Web site, but I think it will become inactive while I process a recent disturbing blogging-related event

So sorry to hear about this. I'll readily admit to being curious, but without sharing any particular details, what type of thing has happened? Most of us reading are actively blogging, and any insight into the negative aspects of "bloggery" are welcome as a learning tool. Virtually all of my posts are wide-open public, and if there exists a good reason for it to not be that way I'd like to know.
