Margie, our remodeling general contractor submitted our house for the 2009 Tour of Remodeled Homes (with our permission, of course).  She said that often suppliers will give free stuff to homeowners such has appliances, hardware, flooring materials, window treatments, etc.  We won't know until later (maybe January?) if we're accepted but yesterday

ooooh. That would be so cool. I love the house plans--it looks like you're almost tripling the floor space! So, I'm assuming the four bedrooms are going to be used as Master, Lori's office, Kathy's office, and guest room?

Good assumption! Our current bedroom will be the new guest room. We're hoping to get a murphy bed so it's not just a dedicated guest room plus then the guest bed would be a real mattress. The new bedroom on the main floor will be Kathy's office. I get the room over the new garage and our bedroom will be the one with the balcony. I keep looking at items in the living room and such and thinking "that won't be in this room, that won't be in this room, that won't be in this room...."
