Hooray for feeling good all weekend long. I had a lovely day of mini-mooting with
claudia603 (who I sadly persist in calling Claudia instead of her real name) and
sayhello. I also realized, rather late in the day, that by crashing the mini-moot I was imposing my big, bad old interspecies self on someone I didn't know,
golden_berry (and her poor husband). They were both

That was a wonderful weekend of hobbits and interspecies and more hobbits and food and debauchery and kitties and driving to Chicago in the middle of the night...:D
My Monday only sucks right now because I'm about to go to the dentist, but that, too, shall pass!

And driving you down to Chicago was nothing, because if you compare it to golden_berry driving claudia603 and I to Chicago on Sunday afternoon... your drive was a walk in the park! The traffic was HORRIFIC, and we made it to Union Station with a mere 10 minutes to spare for poor claudia603.
I felt kind of bad because I couldn't actually hug you goodbye from the front seat. Of course, like an idiot, it only occurred to me later that I *could* have actually gotten out of the car & hugged you outside, but I guess my brain was mush by that time... So consider yourself virtually hugged!
(I've actually discovered that there is an express bus from Columbus to Union Station. This is *very* dangerous information... I may have to go to Chicago more frequently...)
*smooch*

But "express bus?" Does that mean it only takes two days instead of three? Hey, I'm all for anything that brings you here more often.

I was climbing steps in a stadium and stopped to catch my breath and a woman stopped with me. So I shuffled over to give her room to pass me by. Instead she patted me on the arm, stood next to me, grinning and said, "Watch."
This older lady peered intently up at the growing crowd, pointed way up in the seats and waved enthusiastically. Then she turned and grinned at me. Taking a deep happy breath, she said, "I do this all the time to give myself a breather. I wave like I see someone I know up there. Somebody nearly always waves back at me and best of all nobody thinks 'look at that old, out of shape, fat broad' trying to climb the stairs. They see me finding friends everywhere!"
So now I go looking for friends everywhere. Look who I found!
((hugs))
You old interspecies infiltrator, you!
