Going out of town Saturday

Jul 24, 2008 13:56

Sending tender healing pets to Scout at baranduin's house, proud-of-you pats to Claudia603 and many hugs to lilybaggins.

I'm sorry, I haven't been around for days and I won't be around much for the next week or so. I'm traveling to San Francisco for my job and, right now, I'm going crazy trying to get ready and not forget some vital thing I'm supposed to do/bring.

Whining inside; feel free to skip this bit )

I wish I could be super stern with your bosses. They sound completely clueless about your health and needs right now. Business trips you don't need! I want them to send someone else so that you can stay home and be loved by Rich and the kitties!!!

I wish I could stay home! But it's my own fault if the bosses are clueless. I think I want people to treat me normal (but then I pout when they do).

this is not self pity. I can't believe your boss is so insistent on your coming. *hugs*

I have a friend who claims he's in denial. And I'm sure that's partly my fault for coming to work every day.

I suspect your friend is right. As long as you drag yourself in daily, your boss can depend on you to be there-and that means he doesn't have to consider alternatives.

Oh, and can I just whine about seeing this tv program about a really cool novelty shop with JANE AUSTEN ACTION FIGURES, and then realizing it's in Seattle? *pouts*

Jeezle peezle. *substitutes for stronger language*

It's one thing to trying to keep a normal worklife, and an altogether different thing where the people you work for are clueless jerks. Have you spoken to them about this, or are you trying not to have them make allowances? Because if they are aware, someone needs to kick them in the keister. *volunteers*

The folks at work know I'm sick, but I'm not sure that anyone really understands the whole situation. And that's my fault, not theirs. As for the kick, I think that's going to happen when people who know me and don't see me every day ask the boss why the hell he made me attend. I think people who haven't seen me in a year or two will think I look awful.

Oh my dear, I don't don't don't want you doing anything like that at all! I want you to be lounging lazily about with your Rich and the kitties... Thinking of you with love and lots of *hugs*

I've decided that I'll just scratch my belly, damn how it looks, and laugh instead of letting it get to me. :)
