You know, I always planned to be one of those women who lives to 90-something and is ornery and makes everyone around her miserable. I'd only read about such people until I met Millie, the 93-year-old in my exercise class, who is amazingly feisty, but doesn't actually make anyone miserable ( Read more... )

The salty snack thing for sure, but I always have to have something sweet after - preferably with chocolate involved. And tunes are cranking and the moon roof is open and we might get a wee bit sunburned, but we don't care. We're feisty crones on the loose!

But alas, the spirit was willing but our ability to saddle up had a hitch in the giddy-up, but I will not give up on this, my dear. And we are going to break all kinds of limits, be all kinds of ornery - trust me, we so have the feisty crone thing covered and I have a cane and people may accuse us of having a screw or two loose - but what the hey! We will do this - it just may be east instead of west and in a few months instead of right now! You hang onto the vacation time and the good thoughts and we will make it so.

((hugs))

I just love the idea of you two as Feisty Crones. There could be a movie franchise, the Feisty Crone look, the in depth Feisty Crone interview in Rolling Stone, the cultivation of a Feisty Crone fandom (joins at once) -hey this could be big!!

just wish I could make the icon to go with it!

Just trying to *imagine* the FC "look" being done on one of those "next top model" shows is making me snort iced tea...

I was reading an article about Jamie Lee Curtis, thinking she's a FC, but she's just a little too ... odd ... to fit into our version of the FC Society. And if someone seems odd to a slasher, you *know* they're odd!

If you didn't switch between sweet and salty snacks, I'd fear you were an alien pod person! *sending hugs back while guarding vacation hours*

Of course there are still boxes! With the gorgeous summer we've been having, I hope you're not wasting time unpacking. Save that for January! (And hopefully by then I'll be done with chemo and come help you.)

We are so going to miss you this week - but you'll do another moot! You're just putting off your adventure.

I see you and Slip as doing a sort of Rolling Thunder Review, rocking your way across the continent...

In the meantime, know that millions of hugs are winging their way to you!

I figure the happy-moot-vibes from Seattle will be so strong that I'll be smiling all weekend for no real reason. Enjoy yourself!

Well, I know it's not much comfort, but

a. I am selfishly happy that I got to see you a few weeks ago
b. You and Slip will be very seriously missed in a big way

*sends you lots of chocolate and love*

I'm also glad we could get together, sweetie. And I'm VERY glad that you're able to get to Seattle and rock the moot there. Have a blast, and know I'll be waiting for random posts of mooty fun. :)
