Wow.

The beginning of this story seemed a bit slow to me, but I started getting into it after the first portion. I love how you've described Ron's reaction and it seems more and more realistic as one reads on. You didn't overdo it - you just let it flow in a way that made it easy to read, deep and, well...real, to be perfectly redundant.

Wow. Am here via your recent link on hpslash, and decided to read some others. I disagree that the beginning was too slow - it made perfect sense. Ron was in hibernation, and the cold imagery and the slowness of the piece was deliberate.

The pillow next to his is cold and white, a snowy landscape painted in oils on canvas. The snow-capped cotton ridges collapse under the brush of his fingers like rockslides excited by an avalanche. Sides of the mountains fall, chunks of earth that were sedimentary are suddenly alive with movement. A crashing, roaring sound, and then all is quiet.

Just wonderful. *skpping off to read the prequel*

Thank you very much! I didn't think the ending was too slow, either. It was done that way on purpose, and I'm glad you could see that. :) But to each his own, and no hard feelings to anyone who left feedback.

i read the first two instalments and i read the end of this one and saw "carved" and "grave" and i can't read it cause i'm at school and it wouldn't look right for me to start crying my eyes out in the middle of the library. lol

I read this a long time ago, and I've just been getting back into my Harry Potter love again.

This is always by far one of the most beautiful and heartbreaking Harry and Ron story I've ever read. The last two paragraphs of this series I can just read on their own and it captures everything, and it brings tears to me every single time.

Wow, how nice you are! This was a really difficult story to write, but I was happy with it in the end. Sometimes you have to write difficult stuff to tell an effective story.
