it reminds me of the quote from "the virgin suicides" where the doctor says "you're not even old enough to know how bad life gets" and the daughter says "obviously doctor, you've never been a thirteen-year-old girl." and i'm not sure if i agree or not. teen age is lame.

maybe you didn't suffer depression. maybe you just suffered what some of us call "being a teenager."

Amen. I hate when celebrities milk their personal problems (real or imagined) for press & notoriety.

Now if Ms. H would pony up, say, a few million for depression research / treatment centers, that would actually mean something.

yeah, hollywood has a severe propensity to patting itself on the back. like last year's oscars when they were like "look! 'crash'! 'brokeback mountain'! we make really progressive movies! here's a montage of all the wonderful progressive movies hollywood has made in the last ten years. and because of hollywood, nobody will ever be racist or sexist or homophobic ever again because our movies show them that is very wrong, and movies always make people change their opinions."
