it wasn't my birthday recently, actually, i was just using this to point out how widespread a phenomenon the neighborsex can be. i've been aware of it since mid-september.

and yes, text messages allow revision and the mask of not-awkwardness, as i clearly demonstrated to myself yesterday when i tried to call and leave a voicemail message. i hate voicemail just as much. this isn't me talking to someone, it's me talking to a machine, and that freaks me out.

Yeah, voicemail sucks, especially when you're nervous about calling the person. "Uhh, so, hi, this is... ummm..."
