I was really touched reading this. She sounds like an amazing heroine. Sometimes I wonder if I would be this strong of a person, if I hadn't had so many benefits and blessings handed to me as I grew up (supportive parents, enough money, school, etc.).

Thanks for reading, dearie. I think you're the only one I know on here anymore, so it felt somewhat "safer" than my other blog.

Unrelated, would you mind ruminating, commenting, assessing this poem I've kicked about? i'm not really keen on how emo/angsty it feels, but maybe that's all my muse has for me...

quietude crackling as a gramophone
or still smoke noosed, diffusing damply,
is the tyranny here

noiseless breaking things fall deftly,
spied askance, like longing,
like empty quarts,
like pouring out nothing

erase a too-loud squeal
of too-exuberant newness,
an aria expired, récitatif,
rented cruelly, less recourse

records’ rotations circular,
warbling rhythmic immured,
a cask, a crash, a furtive fragility
