i was going to post this in weirdjews, but they wouldn't let me comment since i'm not signed up. you probably won't see this, but i had to try anyway. i want to help if i can. i wish someone could have helped me.

i'm just a lurker, but your question moved me.

i lost my kitty after 16 years, and didn't know what to do with myself.

what sort of seemed to help, was picking a time each day to think about her. Most of the time you need to continue living your life, but if you try to block it out and act like you're fine, you're not going to be.

and take lots of pictures now. i hope your kitty will be ok, but if it isn't, you'll be so glad to have all you can for your memories.

if you haven't yet taken your kitty to the vet, please do. even if you can't afford it. there's nothing worse than finding out they could have done something if only you'd come in earlier.
