OK, my friend Ali Gua Gua, lead singer of the amazing Argentine/Mexican cumbia band Las Kumbia Queers are finally coming to New York! Dude hook them up with the dudes at QBR aka "queers beers and rears" which is a queer monthly party that happens every second saturday of the month at cakeshop, they are always welcoming queer acts. They can be messaged here: http://www.myspace.com/qxbxrx
also if that doesn't work out, aren't the Shondes playing Joes pub on the 12th for some sort of benefit? i would talk to them as well and see if they can be added to the bill.

Thanks, Shomi! I knew you'd come through. I don't know if they'd be able to play a benefit (since they are trying to recoupe the giant loss they took buying four plane tickets from Argentina...), but we'll see!
