This better not be the universe playing the cruelest joke of all on me... Last I heard from my wife, she had terrible stomach cramps and was vomiting. Her roommate was taking her to the emergency room. That was at around 7:25pm. It is now 11:20pm and I'm unable to get ahold of either of them. Yeah, she's usually the worrier, but I'm a nervous wreck

Ok, she's back from the hospital. She just forgot her phone and they were there for over 4 hours, mostly to get the results of the blood work. Funny thing is, it came back negative for everything: not the appendix, not the pancreas, not kidneys, not an ulcer, she's not pregnant... the doctor honestly doesn't know what it is. His guess was something mostly found in the elderly, or something alcoholics or smokers often get (my wife is neither, unless a glass of wine a night is enough for the alcoholic one)... the one actual medical thing she mentioned he gave her something for was gastritis. So anyway, she's not dead or dying, so it looks like I can sleep. Goodnight all.

yeah, which was probably the cause of it, actually... she had a very stressful weekend. But the medicine is working, so hopefully the doctor was right and she won't need to go back for an ultrasound or gastroscope thingy.
