The bar is dark and smoky, and Sam is seated in a corner, silently people-watching as he nurses a beer. He's looking for just the right person - not someone so big he could drop him off a roof if he wanted to, and not someone so old he could be his dad. No, he wants someone... like the guy seated at the bar with a silver ring on his finger that ( Read more... )

That was unexpected. Dean frequently found himself sitting in a dive like this, nursing a beer or something stronger after a case. He didn't usually find himself on the receiving end of a shiny smile like that, though. Well, not unless there was a sales pitch of some kind behind it.

He shifted slightly on his stool to face the stranger a little more and gave a lower wattage grin in return. "I was on business, but the business is concluded. Now I'm just killing some time. Why do you ask?"

He sizes him up quickly - nice build, really nice face, attractive smile. He looks like a regular guy, though. Not overly wealthy. "Just 'cause I've never seen you around here before. What kinda business?" He finishes his beer and sets the bottle down, leaning against the bar as he watches the man intently.

"Freelance. I'm a reporter for the Kansas Star Journal. Story didn't pan out, though." He gave a languid shrug and tipped back the last of his whiskey. He waved over the bartender for a refill and gave a nod to the empty beer bottle for a replacement.

In spite of his father's disapproving face in the back of his mind, Dean let himself give his conversation companion a once-over. Younger than he usually let himself consider (they reminded him a little too much of his brother), but definitely easy on the eyes. "Name's Dean."

"A reporter? Awesome. I've never met a reporter before." He takes the new bottle with a smile and a murmured thank you, bringing it to his lips. He can feel Dean's eyes on him, and he doesn't shy away in the slightest, instead nudging closer, resting one elbow on the bar.

"I'm Sam. Nice to meet you."

Dean's mind was floating pleasantly on the afterglow of a really good orgasm when Sam kissed him and he smiled. Before he followed the tug toward the bed, he paused to lose his shirt and kick off his boots. He fell onto the bed beside Sam with his jeans still loose and low around his waist. They'd come off easy enough later. He chuckled at the question and shrugged, stretching out luxuriously and heaving a content sigh. "It's kind of gory. I'll spare you the details. The short story is that a couple of people turned up dead in bizarre ways. My editor thought there might be another Manson kind of deal, but it wasn't."

"What was it then?" Sam pulls off his own shirt before joining him on the bed, climbing on top of him to sit comfortably on his hips, tracing a finger over Dean's chest, circling one nipple. "Crazed serial killer?"

"Nothing that exciting," he assured Sam as he rested his hands on Sam's hips. His hands flexed slightly and he shifted to get comfortable. "Couple of unrelated, freak accidents. More 'News of the Weird' than 'Primetime'."

He chuckles, leaning down and bracing one hand against the bed as he kisses him. "Bet you see lots of weird things with a job like that. Do you like it? Being a reporter, I mean."
