[he wasn't going to be the one to call; that was what Jase had decided on the third day. He left food out, walked past the room more than was normal, sure - but he didn't try to speak to Sam.
He figured the kid was throwing a tantrum at first and that was harsh but...]
[For once, he's not throwing a tantrum. He's just lost. Confused. Upset. And he doesn't know what to say to Jase after what happened, so he doesn't say anything. Jase doesn't bother him either, and he's not sure if that makes him feel better or worse.
He's in withdrawal again, and the last thing he wants to do is make Jase go through the burden of getting him through it a second time, so he just locks himself in his room instead and bears it. He eats a little, but he's lost his appetite, and sleep mostly consists of him tossing and turning while his limbs ache and his mind screams for more drugs.
He gets through the worst of it, though, and when he finally feels like he'll go completely insane if he stares at the walls for another second, he comes out, looking worse for wear, but at least he doesn't feel like he's about to hurl anymore.
He's nervous, but he can't avoid Jase forever, especially if he's going to stay in his house. He quietly pads through the hallway and pokes his head around the corner to see if anyone is there.]
