did i just read that antioch is closing again? what the hell is going on?

i made cards out of bum-photos. one especially funny one of grouchy mumse.

i am missing skinny already but she is still here.

the salt institute is a hub of contradictions, but at least its pushing me to think.

Yesterday I got so confused because I read on Firstclass about how there was a meeting between the BOT and the ACCC (or whoever is on our side), which stated that they were still collaborating to determine whether or not the college would be passed to the ACCC and become and entity separate from the university and continue functioning on it's own accord. And then I read on the Antioch lj that the college was closing, which is what that lady from WYSO said. Basically, as far as I understand it, the college and everyone on it's side was hoping that the meeting in L.A. was going to declare the college an entity separate from the university, while, in reality, what happened at the meeting, is that the university said they are sticking by their previous statement (that the college would close in June) but they are still willing to work further to see if they ought to relinquish control of the college and keep existing separately as the university. Those at the college are disappointed because they were hoping for the best possible ( ... )

I feel really badly for all of the faculty staff and students at antioch right now. Maybe it isn't so bad, but it doesn't sound good.

Yeah, ditto on the limbo. It seems that if the University continues to oversee the College, it will go through with closing this June. But if an agreement for transferring to ACCC goes through, then it's up to the ACCC to take the next step.

I'm so sorry to hear about Skinny. She's so special! xo

Yeah, she's a lovely creature. She's doing ok right now, so that is good. Last night she woke us up howling at a little green stuffed thing (a weird cat-toy?) and it was hilarious. I think its her baby.
