This past weekend was a long, fabulous, and exhausting three days of prepping for, celebrating, and recovering from J's 30th birthday. Many fine folk came out for the party, and I had a particularly good time cooking up a veritable tempest for the occasion. Oh, and THEN you were tuckered out!
I have to say I consumed nibbles of everything with delight, but kept coming back to the PEACHES. Girl, you are the queen of savory-sweet. I'm totally ganking that recipe.
Glad you got a chance to sit and socialize eventually.
Ps that cake was above and beyond and perfect with the ice cream. ;)

My mouth is watering at the memory of the party. The list does you proud. I made several stops at the pesto pasta. And, yum - the cake and ice cream were spectacular. If this is a taste of John's 30's, he's in for some awesome eating.
