Yeah, it's called Herceptin and a lot of breat cancer patients are taking it after their chemotherapy, because it apparently reduces the chance of recurrance by a LOT. They decided to use it with my aunt because although it metasticized in her liver, it's actually breast cancer. They hoped it would slow the growth and prolong her life. well WOOO, they were right!
I really hope Ontario steps up to the plate and starts covering the treatment soon. A couple other provinces have but, as usual, we're probably going to be one of the last to pay for it with the health care..
