A MYSTICAL FUSION OF MELODY & AFFECTION
~ So I just recently watched a short drama in MMK and it's a very heartwarming story.
The title of the drama that I've watched is "PIANO"
The story was all about a girl who dreamed to be a musician but had lost her hearing capability.
When she was young, she studied piano and joined the choir in their parish. She really loves music and she dreams to become a musician someday. Her dad was working abroad and was about to head home soon. When he arrived, he gave his daughter an organ and her daughter was very delighted by this gift.
During summer, the girl always plays the piano until one day, she experienced a high fever. She didn't mind it so she just treated herself.
After a few days, she was well again. After some time, she experienced some abnormalities in her hearing sense. They went to the hospital and the doctor said that the cause of her hearing abnormality is from a viral infection that she didn't treated well.
She was told to avoid music and to start using a hearing aid.
She was greatly devastated because for her, MUSIC IS HER LIFE
She had quit singing in the choir, stopped playing the piano, and had lose hope. But then her friends approached her and invited her to bond with them again. They went to the park and there she met a man who played a beautiful melody from his piano.
At first, she just heard the man playing the piano and then she sang it's melody and found the place where it's coming from.
They gazed in each others' eyes; like there's a sudden chemistry of connection between them.
The girl ran after that incident and the guy followed her. He went to her house and at first, the girl was very disappointed and grumpy about it.
Then she found out that the guy is also part of their choir and plays the piano too. After she found out that they do have the same similarities, they got close.
The girl was always pessimistic about her future. She thinks that once she lost her sense of hearing, she cannot be a musician anymore.
But the guy is always cheering him up.
He said that "EARS are not the only thing we used in MUSIC, we can use our HEART too"
Because of that, the girl was inspired to do better and hoped that she could reach her dream. The guy served as her inspiration to work hard and aimed her goal in life. Months had passed by and the guy confessed his feelings to this girl. They got together and enjoyed each others' company. As the days passed by, the girl's hearing capability weakens.
The girl always says to her boyfriend,,,
" I want to hear all the things that I want to hear. Right now I still have my hearing capability, so please do say what you want to say
so I can remember your voice inside my heart"
so the guy always says...
" I LOVE YOU AND I PROMISED THAT I WOULD NEVER EVER LEAVE YOU. EVEN IF YOU DO LOSE YOUR HEARING CAPABILITY, I WOULD BE ALWAYS HERE BESIDE YOU, I ASSURE YOU THAT."
Until one day, the girl had almost lost her hearing capability. It even came to the point that she cannot hear anything. Her family was experiencing a severe crisis so she sacrificed her piano and sold it.
She talked to his boyfriend about it and the guy confessed to her that he was leaving.
His petition to America was granted so he was about to leave the girl behind. (poor girl . . . T__________T)
He said that
" PLEASE DON'T THINK THAT I DIDN'T LOVE YOU. I STILL LOVE YOU, IT'S JUST THAT WE ARE STILL TOO YOUNG. THE WORLD IS SO BIG AND THERE ARE STILL LOTS OF OPPORTUNITIES OUT THERE."
(OUCH!X00..T____________T..stupid promises...full of lies and crap...but he does have a point..)
The girl was shocked and greatly depressed. She had lost her hearing capability and now, the guy she loves was leaving her behind.
She had lost everything... Her piano, her hope, her dreams, and most of all the..her inspiration..
But depression would never bring her any good. She realized that she can still do better and continue her dreams.
Before the guy left, he gave his piano to the girl. He wrote a letter to the girl. It is full of inspiration and encouragement.
He said that...
" With this piano, even if we're miles apart I am still with you. In this way, please do remember me and never give up! I promised you, if we are matured enough and we still do have feelings for each other, I would get you back."
And the girl said " PLEASE DON'T MAKE THIS PROMISES ANYMORE SO I WON'T EXPECT ANYTHING FROM YOU"
And they said their goodbyes.
After a few years, the girl had graduated from college and that was the time that she had totally lost her hearing capability.
But she still strive hard to continue her dream.
