I'm really bothered by the issue of alcohol.

On the one hand, I don't see a problem with having a beer or a glass of wine occasionally, at any age, so long as the individual knows enough to drink responsibly. On the other hand, since the United States has a drinking age, I do see a problem with people drinking who are underage. On the third hand

Recently, certain five-star chefs have been using beers with steak due to their complementary nature. I remember reading this on yahoo news somewhere.

Also, don't forget about Liquor. Some Liquor is really good (certainly better than most juices).

But yeah, generally speaking, people drink to get drunk.

I ignored liquor because it has a much higher alcohol content than beer or wine, which means that you better expect to get at least a little drunk if you have some, which isn't true for beer or wine.
