i want a pony but i don't think we're thinking about the same type of pony torakitsune August 19 2010, 14:50:10 UTC
i refuse to get a twit account! and my brother has skype! i just have to figure out how to use it...call me if and when you can and if you can't feel free to journal or email me your rants.

oh, btw i just re-read part three of st. hinoi. because i just devoured it on the first read so i forgot to tell you how i like the childhood memory that ties into his interest with machines and ups the allure of Harland's request to leave with him. i also like that you made the departure time sensitive as well as emotionally(chemistry with Harland/the desire to avoid his troubles) and mentally(the reward he was promised/the allure the unknown) seductive. this made his departure very believable decision. on the other hand the harry potter comment makes your protagonist look like a naive idiot...depends on where you where going with that as to how i interpret it. on one hand it could be shock and the resulting stupidity is a combination of pop culture and disbelief. or maybe your just trying to make the protagonist human with the clumsy trip

Thanks so much for the review! *Rubs chin* I don't think we are indeed talking about the same pony however... The Harry Potter part I wanted to show he was indeed a naive idiot. I wanted the reader to see that he isn't quite sure what's going on in his life, and so he decided to attach it to the only thing he could think of that came close, (Like how people say everything tastes like chicken even when it doesn't. Chicken is universal, almost everyone eats it, even if the comparison is wrong its a gauge for people who haven't tried the food). It was meant to make the reader face palm at the comment and make Lu a little bit more "human" feeling. I'm alsmot doen with part 4, which is gonna be a goody, I'm trying to keep up with writings updates. It gives me a sense of accomplishment lol.

Cool, I will follow you on twitter! Name there is cheshire_ninja because some asshole already took cheshireninja and hasn't updated it in over a year. :(

But I mainly tweet about various cafes I visit.

As for your music collection, I can recommend internet radio stations? I like slayradio.org . If you play it through Winamp, you can get a "stream ripper" plugin so you can "record" the music you play from a station.
