You know, I don't remember the last time I had a really good night of sleep. It definitely wasn't when Abstergo had me because that was pretty fucking stressful and the thought of waking up to Warren Vidic looming over you almost makes you want to never sleep again.
[A pause and he sighs, rubbing a hand across his face and for a man who got a

Salute, Desmond! You are most welcome for the breakfast, my dear boy! I do not have, or did not have, much time to cook for myself before this little holiday~ But I do actually enjoy it quite a bit. That was a recipe I learned from my apprenticeship days back in Firenze.
[ ...rambling on for a minute about running around collecting wild leeks by some obscure Italian stream... ]
But I digress, mi dispiace. I do apologize for waking you up early. I will be sure next time to come in the evening. Perhaps with a chocolatey desert? You do like chocolate don't you? [ Leonardo's grin now is conspiratorial ]

What little holi-- [pause] you mean finding yourself here don't you? The food was great though, really great. I haven't had anything like that in a long time.
[He nods through that ramble, typing something to himself on the computer at the same time. It may take him a moment or two to realise when the ramble ends because his head nods for a second or two.]
I'm not used to getting sleep so I'm trying to catch up on what I've missed but it's okay, you didn't know.
[Oh god...offer of food. Of sweet food. Yeah, like hell he's going to turn that down.]
You don't need to do that [but that is the quickest protest in the history of mankind right there] but that was be awesome. I'm really looking forward to it now.

The mention of his name though, that has captured Desmond's ancestor's attention. He leans back, so that the camera can see more than just his eye and part of his nose, the tip of his hood now casting a shadow over his eyes as he regards the other. ]
Nightmare about me? How is this possible. [ You know, since Altair's never met you before, and all.
The mention of training catches his interest as well, and he tilts his head back a bit. ]
Perhaps you would like a sparring partner. We can speak further of th is 'nightmare'.
[ More of a suggestion, than a question. Watch out, Desmond.
He wants to see what this similarly faced person can do. And also perhaps get some answers out of the other. Since Ezio was useless about it. ]

So yes. Blank stare. Mouth wide open and catching flies.]
Altaïr...it's...it's a really long story that you probably won't believe a word of.
[A story that's going to get him stabbed in the neck if he isn't careful.]
I guess we could meet and discuss it?
[He's pretty used to not having choices because obviously the entire universe conspires against him but that doesn't mean he's going to be happy about it. Or talking about having to see his ancestor banging some woman at the top of a tower. What a romantic guy.]

He approves of the other's quick agreement though, and he nods. If Desmond hadn't agreed he would have just found him after all. And Desmond really didn't want that. ]
Name a place, and a time. We shall discuss things further.
[ Because if Altaïr is allowed to pick, it'll be the roof. And Desmond will be a sad assassin. As if he wasn't already. ]

It takes him a while to think of a suitable place. Definitely not his room, he doesn't want another assassin knowing where he sleeps at night.]
What about the library? Or if you have any ideas you can tell me. As for time...it's not like I'm doing anything but not first thing in the morning? I'm not at my best then.
[Desmond will always be a sad assassin. Unless he's getting hugs from someone.]
[[ooc: Dear self engage brain when doing tags for once.]]
