Stephan and I got married on October 15, 2011. It was a beautiful day, and I wouldn't have changed a thing. We were married in Jefferson, Texas (the "most haunted" small town in Texas) in a historic library. Our wedding had an autumn theme, and I loved it. The part of which I am most proud is the fact that I refrained from becoming a " ( Read more... )

okay, now for the other crap... tell 'em to shove it...politely of course. I had my first kid at 33, I would have happily had them earlier, but it wasn't in the cards for me. I got pregnant after 5 mos of trying... my second was born at 35 after 6 mos of trying, and the third was born at 38... after 2 years of trying while working at a stressful job. The point is, you have time. More importantly, you'll want them... and as you yourself point out, you don't feel ready for them right now, and I think you should follow what you feel is right for you rather than what others think is right. For whatever reason, people always feel they have a right to make others go along the path they themselves have chosen, sometimes even when they aren't all that happy in that path. But anyway... I'm so happy for you!!!! :) :) :) You got married two days after I had #3 :).

You know, this makes me feel SO much better. I really appreciate it. You're right--people really like to try to tell you what to do. Lately, my co-workers have been driving me nuts with it. Don't get me wrong, I love the ladies with whom I work, but they ask me nearly every week if I'm pregnant; it makes me feel horrible. I really do want to be a mom, but I know that this isn't the right time. We aren't settled enough to really be able to care for a baby the way we'd want to.

Thank you, as always, for your kind and encouraging words. This was exactly what I needed to hear.

Also, congratulations on number three!!!! I swear, I can't believe I've been away from here for that long! It's crazy!! I looked at your journal the other day and noticed that Moxie is six years old! Good grief!! That doesn't seem possible. You have beautiful kiddos! :) What else have I missed besides an entire pregnancy and birth?!?!!

LOL

Thank you! I know but I'm so glad you are happy!

What you've "missed":

I got laid off from WB in January of 2011 and I have been a SAHM ever since.

Z and I got married 6 days before Honor arrived.

We got rid of my Matrix and our Denali and got a Town and Country LOL.

Moxie was "off the record" diagnosed with Aspergers (by the school psyhologist).

Z got a job in San Francisco and we're moving up to Concord on April 7th. LOL
