Looks like my Dad is good for something after all- even if it is just getting my tickets (although, admittedly, about three months AFTER I told him to.) Have decided to take mind off love situation by going shopping. I found a new shop in Sheffield 'Rocky Horrors' which has plenty of Gothic/Retro/Punk stuff for me to drool over.
