[ Now that Fuji's watching Niou's feed instead of Yukimura's, he has a decent view into the windows, himself, when Niou turns the 'Gear, which is where Niou's attention is focused. ]

[ It's dimly-lit inside, with the curtains mostly drawn; their glimpse inside is about an inch and a half wide. From this window, only the kitchen counters are visible. ]

I knew it. Counters.

[ His tone is one of seething rage and accusation. How dare they harbour counters in this house?! ]

[there's a quirk of an eyebrow, here, the double-language piquing his interest.]

[ Niou meant nothing by it, but the question 'how many' just begs a snide answer, so he goes for it. ]

[ He retreats from the window and moves along the side of the house. ]

[ The next window is higher up, clearly a privacy window. Niou stops beneath it and eyes it critically. ]

Besides, Yukimura invited you.

[ Niou switches the 'Gear to audio, and the rustling of fabric takes over for a moment. There's a scraping sound, more muffled fabric noises, and then the video returns, revealing a much closer look at the window. Niou's voice is close, too. ]

These ones are tricky.

You'll have to be more specific than that. Not all of us are cat burglars in the making.

Can't open 'em without breakin' the frame or the glass. Not if they're closed all the way.

[ Niou reaches out and pries lightly at the edges of the window before giving up and jumping backward. He lands in a crouch and turns the 'Gear to face himself as he stands. ]

[hm. the sudden change in perspective is dizzying. he waits for the video feed to settle, before giving Niou something like an impressed look, laced with something like amusement.]

Are all the windows like this?

Nah. The rest are single-hung sashes. Unless there's a basement; that might have a casement window, too.

[ He begins walking around the side of the house, his eyes fixed on the foundation near the ground. ]
