This picture I took in my backyard. The leaves are coming over our fence from the neighbors yard. Our neighbors don't like us, I don't know why. Maybe its because my brother fights with them all the time. He's actually quite rude to them so that is probably the reason. I wonder if they knew that my brother is rude to everyone they would be nicer to the rest of us?
"The Bible tells us to love our neighbours, and also to love our enemies; probably because they are generally the same people."
-G.K. Chesterton
Anyways, When I look at this plant, it makes me wonder how something so dead can look so alive.
Very true.
God does amazing things. He can take something so ordinary, plain, and lifeless, and make it look so extraordinary, abstract, and full of life.
"Ordinary things are more valuable than extraordinary things; nay, they are more extraordinary."
-G.K. Chesterton
It kind of looks like its trying to escape lol. Not only is the plant dead but the wood fence its lying in is rotting.

Not to distract from your main point that you express so beautifully at the end of your post, but I just wanted to include a quote that seems somewhat related to your second paragraph
