34 The Pipettes Earth vs. the Pipettes Fortuna Pop
Oh I thought this was dreck. I suppose I wanted the northern soul influenced band not this crappy disco thing and never gave the crappy disco thing a chance, but man, if I hadn't known it was going to be all new it totally would have been the disappointment of the year. I played History on the podcast, but man, I don't care to ever hear even that song again.
BTW, Too Much Rock will post it's top 25 singles of 2010 in a week or two.
I could see that album being pretty divisive. But you should give it a chance -- the disco/new-wave elements are extremely well-executed, and even the space-themed tracks eventually seemed bizarrely brilliant to me after awhile.
