I watched it in slow motion...
I was holding my barrel and mouthpiece, prepared to put it back in my case. Suddenly, it slipped, merely 15 inches from the floor... but I could do nothing to stop it. I watched the entity bounce, the rebound from which I knew it was too late.
My LC-1, merely 6 months old, cracked.
