Ch. 10

It’s been a week since Kazuya had seen or heard anything about Yuki. He hasn’t even left his house since he last saw her. Jin had come over every day to check up him, which he was very thankful for.
Although he wasn’t showing it, Jin was angry with Yuki. He didn’t tell Kazuya about their talk and according to Koki and Maru, she hasn’t been around the apartment complex.
Today was different though. Kazuya had come to Jin’s soccer match, or more like Jin forced him out of the apartment for fresh air. It was a gloomy day. It was cloudy, but didn’t look like it was going to rain anytime soon. Jin brought Koki, Maru, and Taguchi so Kazuya had company during the game.

“How about we go out to eat tonight, Kame-chan?” Koki asked.
Kazuya shrugged, “I don’t know.”
“Aww, come on, Kame, we’ll go to your favorite sushi place!” Maru grinned.
“I don’t really want to,” Kazuya mumbled.
“Cheer up, Kame, it’ll all be ok at the end,” Taguchi said.
“Yeah right….” Kazuya muttered under his breath.

Meanwhile, Jin’s game was going horribly. He couldn’t concentrate on the game at all. The only thing on his mind was Kazuya and how depressed he looked. Every chance he got, he would glance over to where Kazuya and his friends were. As time went on, half time came and each team had a fifteen minute break. Jin went to Kazuya. When Kazuya saw Jin, he forced a smile on his face.

“Hey,” Kazuya mumbled.
“You don’t have to force yourself to smile,” Jin said.
Kazuya bit his lips, “You aren’t doing very well….”
“Yeah, you suck,” Koki added.
Jin glared at Koki, “I’m sorry I have other things in mind.”
Kazuya swallowed hard, “Is it-”
“Are you ok?” Jin interrupted Kazuya.
Kazuya slowly nodded, “Y-yeah.”
“Good,” Jin muttered.
“You can still win, Jin,” Kazuya said, “Focus, ok?”
Jin nodded, “I’ll try.”

The game ended with a tie, which surprised everyone who came since Jin’s team was very, very behind. Nevertheless, it didn’t stop Jin from being happy. As soon as the referee of the game blew the whistle, Jin ran and kissed Kazuya, who blushed like crazy. Maru, Koki, and Taguchi stood awkwardly next to the two. When Koki cleared his throat, Jin and Kazuya pulled apart.

“Err….” Kazuya blushed.
“Let’s go eat out,” Jin suggested.
“I don’t want to,” Kazuya mumbled.
“Come on, it’ll be fun,” Jin said, turning to Kazuya’s friends, “For dinner, all of us.”

Koki and Maru shrugged and agreed while Taguchi grinned at nodded. Jin turned back to Kazuya, smiling.

“Come on,” Jin said.
Kazuya sighed, “Ok….”

They all agreed to meet at a sushi bar nearby at seven, but before that Kazuya wanted to return his apartment and change his clothes. Jin came with him and as he wanted for Kazuya to change, he got some water to drink. As he drank, he noticed Kazuya’s phone on the counter. He placed the glass of water down and bit his lips. Then, he slightly looked around and pulled his own phone. He swallowed hard and grabbed Kazuya’s cell and flipped it out. He quickly when to the address book and copied Yuki’s number into his own cell phone. He placed Kazuya’s phone back to its original place and cleared his throat.

“Kazu?” Jin called out.
“Yeah?” Kazuya’s head peeked out of his room.
“I need to grab something from my place, ok?” Jin nervously said, “I’ll be right back.”
Kazuya slightly frowned, “Ok.”

Jin nodded and left the apartment. He went near the staircases and opened his phone. He quickly went to the address book in it and called Yuki. When someone finally answered the phone, there was silence. Jin could hear Yuki anxiously breathing.

“H-Hello?” Yuki muttered.
“It’s been a week,” Jin said, “Why haven’t you come and talk to Kazu already?!”
“A-Aka-Akanishi-san?!” Yuki exclaimed, “Where did you get this number?!”
“Answer me first!” Jin angrily said.
“I’m sorry,” Yuki replied, “I….”
“Don’t tell me you’re sorry,” Jin said, “Tell Kazu that, not me!”
Yuki sighed, “….I’ll come tomorrow afternoon, ok?”
“Thank you,” Jin muttered.

When Jin and Kazuya arrived at the sushi bar, no one else was there. Then Kazuya received a text from Koki saying that he, Maru, and Taguchi couldn’t make it. Kazuya shook his head, saying that they probably planned this. Jin laughed and rolled his eyes.

“Well, we should just consider this as our first date then,” Jin smiled.
Kazuya blushed, “I guess so…”
“I’m happy we meet,” Jin said.
“Me too,” Kazuya shyly smiled.

After ordering some sushi rolls, Jin managed to get Kazuya talking and talking and talking. It made Jin even happier since Kazuya was so distanced the past week. They didn’t realize how much time they have spent in the place until their waiter came and told them that they were closing. Jin paid for the meal and they headed out.

“I had a great time Jin,” Kazuya said quietly.
“So did I,” Jin smiled.
“Thank you,” Kazuya blushed.
“You don’t have to thank me,” Jin said.
Kazuya shook his head, “I do! After everything that happened this week….”
“It’s not your fault,” Jin said, “It’s not.”
“She hasn’t called yet though….” Kazuya mumbled.
Jin sighed, “I need to tell you something.”
Kazuya frowned, “What?”
“I….I called your sister,” Jin said.
Kazuya’s eyes widened, “What?”
“But it’s good!” Jin assured Kazuya, “She said she’ll come tomorrow!”
“S-She did?” Kazuya swallowed hard.
Jin nodded, “Yeah.”
“I….thank you Jin,” Kazuya quietly said.
Jin shook his head, “No problem.”

The next day, Jin came over to Kazuya’s place and waited with him for Yuki. They waited and waited and waited, but no one ever came.

“I knew she couldn’t come,” Kazuya muttered under his breath.

Jin sighed and watched Kazuya stand up and go to his room. Then, Jin let out an angry sigh and took his phone out of his pocket. He dialed Yuki’s number and waited until she answered. Once he heard someone pick up, he didn’t wait for a greeting or anything.

“Where the hell are you?” Jin hissed.
“Well, hello to you too,” Yuki replied.
“What happened?!” Jin angrily said.
“Are you in the apartment?” Yuki asked.
“Huh?” Jin frowned.
“Are you?” Yuki asked.
“So what if I am?” Jin answered.
“This has nothing to do with you Akanishi-san,” Yuki said.
“Huh?” Jin frowned again.

Then, Yuki hung up. Jin groaned and placed his phone back in his pocket. He turned and noticed Kazuya staring at him. Jin swallowed hard.

“I understand if she never wants to talk to me again,” Kazuya muttered.
“No, it’s not like that,” Jin said.
Kazuya looked aside, “I want to be alone.”
“Kazu….” Jin mumbled.
“I want to rest,” Kazuya said, “For a little while.”
“Ok,” Jin sighed, “I’ll be back later, all right?”

Kazuya nodded and walked back to his room. Then, Jin took his things and left the apartment.

Kazuya woke up two hours later. He slowly dragged himself out of bed and to the bathroom. He washed his face and then went to the kitchen. As soon as he saw who was in the kitchen, his eyes widened.

“Nee-san?” Kazuya whispered.
Yuki weakly smiled, “Hi.”
“W-wh-what are you doing here?” Kazuya asked.
“I told Akanishi-san I’ll come and talk to you, didn’t I?” Yuki answered.
“But, I thought…..”
Yuki sighed, “Kazuya, I wanted to talk to you, not you and Akanishi-san.”
“O-Oh,” Kazuya slowly muttered.
“I’m sorry, Kazuya,” Yuki said, “I didn’t mean to hurt you so much.”
“I’m sorry too,” Kazuya replied, “I didn’t want for you to find out that way…”
“And I know you didn’t,” Yuki sighed, “I guess I was too shock by that note. I should’ve noticed it before. I didn’t mean anything I said before, you’re my little brother, I can’t be mad at you for too long. I’m sorry, Kazuya, I really am.”
“I’m sorry too,” Kazuya replied.
Yuki shook her head, “You have nothing to be sorry about!”
“But-”
“You fell in love,” Yuki weakly smiled, “Don’t be sorry about that!”
Kazuya chuckled, “I guess you’re right….”
“Of course I am,” Yuki grinned.
“So, we’re ok?” Kazuya asked.
“Even better than ok,” Yuki replied, “I can move back here again, right?”
Kazuya rolled his eyes and nodded.

Epilogue
***One Year Later***

Ryo and Yamapi dropped the last box in Jin’s apartment while Kazuya and Jin were unpacking the boxes with the help of Ueda. Meanwhile, Yuki was sulking next to them.

“Why must you move?” Yuki asked for the nth time.
“Nee-san,” Kazuya said.
“I don’t want to live alone!” Yuki pouted.
“I am not moving all the boxes back to his apartment,” Ryo mumbled to Yamapi and Jin.
Jin rolled his eyes, “Shut up, Kazu isn’t moving back.”
“Kazuya!” Yuki whined.
“Mom and dad are moving back though so you would be alone,” Kazuya said, “And I only moved a few floors up, it’s not like I moved to a completely different city.”
Yuki groaned, “Oh great, mom and dad.”
“What’s really wrong?” Kazuya asked.
“I’m going to miss you,” Yuki pouted and suddenly hugged Kazuya.
Kazuya hugged Yuki back, “It’s just a few floors, Nee-san, and you’re always welcome here.”
Jin’s eyes widened, “W-wh-what?”

Yuki and Kazuya broke the hug and frowned at Jin. Jin nervously chuckled as Yuki glared at him. She had the same angry expression Kazuya had when he was angry with Jin.

“Well, not always,” Jin swallowed hard and added in a small voice, “Not at night……”
“You better not hurt my little brother, Akanishi-san,” Yuki said, “Or else, you’ll have to deal with me.”
“I won’t!” Akanishi exclaimed.
“Good,” Yuki smiled.
“Good,” Kazuya repeated, walking closer to Jin.
Jin stole a kiss from Kazuya, “I’ll never hurt you, love.”
Kazuya smiled, “I love you.”
“I love you too,” Jin muttered.
“We better leave before they start getting mushy,” Yamapi said, leading everyone out.
“Hey!” Jin exclaimed as Kazuya laughed.
Jin pouted after everyone left, “I don’t get mushy.”
Kazuya giggled, “Of course not.”
“Only when you’re around,” Jin mumbled.
“Uh huh,” Kazuya smiled, “Of course~!”
