Endeavour - Morse/Joan - G

They've something of a routine, now. Lunchtime concerts, sometimes, in cool, stained-glassed chapels, close enough to see the rosin rise from the bows in little puffs. Outside pavilions, if the weather's nice enough. Joan fidgets, and complains that the pews are uncomfortable, and tries not to let on that it moves her to tears, sometimes. Morse knows, though, because Faure makes him cry, too

I love how you've distilled their awkward relationship so nicely. Poor Morse, he never seems completely at ease with any woman he fancies.

Ahh, thank you! Awkward!Morse is my fave, especially whenever he's around Joan, because she seems so decisive and confident and socially competent...

Thank you! I love how Shaun Evans just etches absolutely everything Morse is thinking all over his face, it's so clear he's never not thinking about things...

I love this so much <3 This is so in-character, I can see Joan being sassy like that and Morse is so adorable and awkward but I love this fic! Are you sure you're not a writer for the show? It feels like it ;)
