Annie long ago resigned herself to the fact that she was never going to have a lot of the things she envisioned having in her life. She will never have the wedding she dreamt of as a little girl. She will never have children of her own, or live in a dreamhouse. She will never have an amazing and successful career, or grow old and play with her grandchildren. There are so many roles to play in a life, and she has mourned the lost opportunity to play them

This is true! Though they did manage to tweak them a little bit over the years. Ghosts apparently have a little bit of control over their wardrobe. ;-)
