So, the turmoil at work has come to a head, decisions have been made, paychecks have been cut, and layoffs have been announced.  Turns out I'm one of those layoffs.  (How the hell IT falls under "non-essential personnel" I have no idea, but then again, management is a funny thing ( Read more... )

Well, both Craig and Jeremy (my supervisors) are pretty good at IT stuff when they need to be, they just prefer not to have to deal with it. Their loss.

I'm sorry the job ended that way, but you've got a good point: unemployment sounds pretty good. Yeah, this company sounds like they've lost half a brain...or maybe all of it. Glad you're my pal, and in October, if you wanna hang out...I'd like it! (I'm scheduled basically each day in Sept unless they call and say they don't need me.) HUGS!

I'm sorry to hear that you have an upgrade opportunity that wasn't of your choosing - but like you said, maybe you'll next job will be near them and you can see 'em all for lunch!

I'm just sorry you didn't leave on your terms when you had the inkling. But you're on the right path. Take your government money and go find a job elsewhere.
