Letting Go

Sep 07, 2009 01:54

You know, I think I might be ready to let this place go. I logged on to make a post, checked to see if anyone else was actually updating, and most of what I see is twitter account syndication.

It's a shame, only in-so-far as I just bought a permanent account in December (and immediately fell into one of the longest stretches of non-use).

That would suck... I like your posts even if you don't post often. I think there's a way to block the twitter feeds off your reading list...

While twitter is great (I'm sure. I don't have an account though), LJ lets you vent and actually allows you to keep people a bit more in the loop as far as lives. It's still pretty shallow, but it's better than one sentence updates. It at least makes me feel like I still have friends out there somewhere who I can call upon if I need to since I hardly talk to anyone outside of family anymore- pretty sad aspect of my life, but so it is. I can't give up on LJ either.

I know your pain. A lot of folks have turned their LJ into "HEY! If you didn't see my TWITTER!" And I have twitter, I've read it already. Thanks....

Don't get me wrong, this is THEIR space - they can put up what they want. Just like I can write a silly story about a drunken seal that steals my money and buys things I really don't "need" with it ;)

Don't stop posting here - I much druther hear TALES of your day - than a little blip about your day. ANYtime.

I chose to have my tweets posted once daily so they are all in one place. If I have something long to say I still post it here.
