[YokoUchi] Confession

Yokoyama Yuu always thought that he would end up married to a pretty lady with kids running happily in the house. Though, he had to admit, his debut as an idol pushed away the moment he would become a loving husband and a responsible father. In a way, he was thanking God for this, every day. Being afraid of growing up was something he never got rid of.
And, anyway, the more the months and years were passing by, the more he had that feeling that a woman wouldn’t be able de satisfy him - and in case anyone wondered, yes, that ‘accident’ with Hina from a few years before was part of the reason why.
He wouldn’t have thought, though, that he would fall in love. With a young man. A bandmate also. But the more he tried to convince himself that he wasn’t having a crush on Uchi, the more he was feeling himself falling for the boy. Maybe it was because of his cute features, or his nice but somewhat strong character, or maybe simply because he was looking a bit like a girl, but Yoko was feeling himself totally under Hiroki’s charm. And that was embarrassing.
Obviously, he tried his best to hide it, but truth was that Shingo could read into him like in an open book written in really big letters, not to mention Subaru totally feeling that something was happening, even if he was too much in his own world to care about what. In the end, Yuu realised that everybody in the unit but Uchi knew about his love interest.
So he decided to confess, instead of spending hours jerking off under the shower - not that he didn’t like that, but the looks Hina was giving him afterwards were disturbing, and the fact that the same Hina once offered him a helping hand wasn’t really good for his sanity. Not that it wasn’t nice of him, but still, it was Hina, and Yoko liked his Hina better when far away of any sexual-related things, even more if it was involving him too.
So yeah, confession was the best way to go apparently.
Of course, he’d have to take care of Nishikido too, because the dude was literally glued to Uchi, and the idea of declaring his never-ending affection in front of the littlest and scariest Johnny’s idol ever was totally out of question. Therefore, he needed an accomplice.
First, he thought about Maruyama, because Ryo could just never say no to the bassist, but he realised that it would include Maru telling at least Yasuda about the whole plan, and most likely telling Subaru too, and then his secret would only have the name of one.
Then he thought about Hina, because after all he was more or less totally acknowledged of Yoko’s crush already, and also because the only person Ryo ever feared was Murakami. But when Shingo asked if he also had to sleep with Nishikido, Yuu decided to flee and to never ask such a thing to his closest friend again - mainly because there was something disturbing him about the thought of Hina fucking Ryo, really.
Finally, his choice landed on Ohkura’s head. The drummer was after all always silent, so no risks of him telling the whole story to everybody, and also he was Ryo’s best friend, so things would go smoothly.
And they did.
Until the moment where Kimitaka had to talk. Standing still in front of the baby of the group before some dance rehearsals, the oldest remained speechless for a good ten minutes before finally uttering a single “Well…”
Uchi, always being the nice guy, waited patiently; but still no words came from Yoko’s mouth, who was totally frozen on his spot and red in shyness and embarrassment. So in the end, Hiroki sighed, confused and a bit sad, and was about to leave when Yuu finally got out of his trance and mumbled something that sounded a lot like “I love you”.
And then it was Uchi’s turn to freeze.
- What… What did you say?
Yoko turned so red that the younger man feared he would faint. But instead of fainting, he just looked down.
- I love you, he mumbled again.
Uchi stared for a few seconds, trying to process the information, then smiled.
- Thank you, Yokoyama-kun.
Yoko blinked. He couldn’t believe that he had gone through so many things just for a ‘thank you’.
- Uh, that’s all?
- Well I’m sorry, Hiroki explained with a blush, but I’m not really in love with you…
Yoko started to pout. Life was seriously unfair. Though, seeing his sad face, Uchi felt guilty and stepped closer to him, reaching out for his arm.
- Don’t be mad at me! I’m really sorry! But if that can make you feel any better, it won’t change anything! I will always be your friend!
And with that, he literally squished the older man in his arms; said older man thought that, as long as his cute friend kept on hugging him like that, he would be able to forgive him about absolutely anything.
