Job
I didn't get the job, but I'm totally over it. Was just a few hours after I blew it.
Anyway, I made friends with a bunch of the girls at the gym, and now one of them wants me to be a sub/assistant for her kids Tae-Kwon-Do and yoga classes. That'd be great. She just has to check with her supervisor.
If it works out, great. If not, c'est la vie. -
Possible job. School stuff.

Stardust by Neil Gaiman
An adult fairytale. I'd seen the movie last year and really loved it. Something about the place I was at the time...
Anyway, while the writing style was nothing special, I did enjoy it. Total fluff.

The Book Of Merlyn by T.H. White
I finished it about a week ago, but didn't post until now.
It was an incredibly interesting concept to me to use different animal species as an allegory for political systems. I whole-heartedly agree that we as humans think so much of ourselves as something special that we forget to look at everything around us.

Reading competition: Book 4
Only You Can Save Mankind by Terry Pratchett
Commentary on the Gulf War via a twelve-year-old boy playing video games about shooting aliens. Sounds to me like Orson Scott Card stole an idea.

Shoot the Damn Dog: A memoir of depression by Sally Brampton.
To anyone who suffers from depression, knows and/or loves someone who has depression, or is even just interested in knowing more about depression, I recommend this book.

Please, Mr. Einstein by Jean-Claude Carriere, translated from French by John Brownjohn
I thought this would be a fluff book. But is most certainly was not. Think discussing quantum physics and philosophy, along with the history and questions present as scientists in history.
All over, a very good book. But a whole lot to take in at once. -
