Because tinypic is deleting all international accounts and uploads, we have come up with a plan of action that we hope is fair for everyone, considering the circumstances.

Anyone who entered an open challenge prior to 9-23-2010 will be given credit for having used a tag banner. The reason is simply because we don't have the ability to go back and ( Read more... )

wait, so can international users still see images hosted from Tinypic? Or should USA users switch too?

International users will (I think) still be able to see content that has been uploaded and hosted in the US.

I can still see and use tiny pic, but I don't know if I'm a special snowflake or if tinypic just loves the USA only.

No, the funny thing is that I can still see some of the gifs I posted, but not all of them. Maybe they are still in my cache or something. I don't know.
But I'm switching to photobucket completely right now - with a second account for gifs only to save some Bandwidth on my other account *sighs*

A message on the photobucket blog:

"Hello there Tinypic users! We are very thankful for all your support over the years and want to officially welcome you to Photobucket. Starting on September 16th, we will transition Tinypic users outside of the US, Canada, Australia, and the UK to our main site, Photobucket.com." (rest here)

I realize this means my account will actually be okay - although I'm having severe difficulties logging in without it timing out - but I'm also reluctant to continue using it. The more you upload, the more you have to lose if they decide to shut down altogether!!

Crap does that mean that the icons i did for challenge 14 is now gone that i didnt save on my comp *facepalm*

I can still see all of the icons and I already voted. Send me a PM with whichever icons are yours and I can upload them to photobucket for you :)
